2018 IPPA Individual Award Winners!

We are pleased to announce our 2018 IPPA Individual Award Winners!

Professional Buyer of the Year – Gregory Lindstrom, State of Idaho Division of Purchasing

Gregory started his career in public procurement in 2000 working for the City of Boise and in 2005 transitioned to the State of Idaho Division of Purchasing. He is currently the State Information Technology Purchasing Officer. In addition to administering many statewide IT contracts and working with state agencies on large and technical IT projects, he has recently lead two strategic teams to identify best practices for procuring IT contracted services and Cloud services for the State. He takes every opportunity to participate in trainings, webinars, conferences and discussions to understand current trends and topics in the IT industry. Not only does he serve the community in procurement, he also serves the community by supporting and volunteering at the Boise Rescue Mission. Congratulations to Gregory! 




 Professional Procurement Manager of the Year – Tina McBride, Idaho State Police

Tina has been an asset to the IPPA for many years and has been one of the Directors-at-Large since 2015. She has been an active IPPA member and has participated in many Reverse Vendor Trade Shows, IPPA Lunch and Learns, and regularly attends NIGP trainings. She currently is the Purchasing Manager for the Idaho State Police. During her time at ISP she has implemented many processes to streamline agency procurements, developed and implemented a training curriculum for the agency procurement software and created a study guide for ISP employees preparing for their CPPB exams. Congratulations to Tina! 





Frank Pierce "Founders Award" – Alyssa Ellington, Ada County Procurement

Alyssa has contributed to her local chapter and agency by serving on the IPPA Board as the Communications Chair since the spring of 2015 and recently transitioned into her new role as IPPA President. She is currently a Procurement Officer for Ada County Procurement. She began as a Buyer in the summer of 2014 and was quickly promoted to the Procurement Officer position in April of 2015. She has been instrumental to the marketing and presence of IPPA, led the 2017 RVTS planning committee, and continues to think of on-trend ideas to help our organization and her agency. During her term as president, she is determined to bring a fresh and fun perspective to the organization. Congratulations to Alyssa!
