Attention Government Agencies:

Our 9th Annual Reverse Vendor Trade Show - Passport to Possibilities is coming right up and we are excited to once again present this great networking opportunity. This unique event allows Government Agencies to meet and talk directly to vendors, suppliers, contractors, and other service providers from across the state at one time. As a public procurement professional, you will be able to provide valuable information to the vendor community on how to do business with your agency.

We recently had to make the decision to convert our highly anticipated event to a virtual platform due to COVID-19 and the limits in Idaho on large gatherings.  While this will be different than what we are used to, we plan on delivering many of the same great benefits and a schedule full of many options for networking, education and inspiration!

Booth staffing: Since we will be doing this virtually, agencies will be hosting individual 30 minute virtual sessions with vendors.  Think of this like our in-person show, but in a virtual setting with all of the vendors visiting your "booth" at once.  There will be one session per agency and it will be via Zoom or Webex.  The expectation is that you will introduce the meeting with a 5-10 minute presentation on your agency and then the rest of the meeting will be open for questions from vendors regarding how to do business with your agency. Note that if you are signing up for this event it is expected that someone from your agency will be hosting one of these sessions!  **Once you have registered, someone from the RVTS committee will be reaching out to you to get your timeslot scheduled.  Times are first come, first served.

By joining in on the IPPA 9th Annual RVTS - Gone Virtual:

  • Your agency may be meeting its outreach goals much more effectively
  • You may reduce the number of supplier visits to your office (or virtually)
  • Your agency is viewed as being “accessible” to the supplier community
  • You'll make valuable business contacts for your agency
  • You'll be able to access free educational sessions
  • Your participation in this event raises scholarship funds for the IPPA Chapter to grow professionally

At least one to two members from your agency will be staffing a virtual booth and meeting with company representatives. You'll have a chance to introduce your agency with a PowerPoint or live introduction before opening it up to questions from your vendor attendees.  Feel free to be creative with how you showcase your agency!

Procurement professionals, project managers, representatives from IT, engineering, and other agency departments active in contracting for goods and services should definitely attend! Suppliers want to meet with decision makers and those who specify or use goods and services.

Reach out to your agency departments and bring several people to help staff your virtual booth!

We're very excited to feature JEMfriends as our philanthropic partner this year!

JEMfriends is a transition program for youth aging out of foster care. The basic areas of support that they offer these youth are a transition program plan, housing, community, life skills training, transportation, education support, and employment support. The goal of this program and what it provides is to equip JEMyouth for life and independence, so that they can be healthy and contributing members in their communities, their careers, and their future families.

Winter Drive

During the winter JEMfriends loves the opportunity to take their youth up to Bogus Basin for tubing and more. Making sure they have appropriate winter clothing makes this possible! So, in partnership with JEMfriends, IPPA would like you to bring new or gently used winter coats, ski pants, waterproof gloves, stocking hats, and women's winter boots (sizes XS & XL are needed most) to the trade show. If you prefer, you could bring a gift card to be utilized to purchase these items instead. We will have bins at local agencies for your donations - locations TBD.  Gift cards can be mailed to IPPA: P.O. Box 6512, Boise, ID 83707 or emailed to [email protected].
